Moringa
(Moringa oleifera)The Miracle Tree with 92 Nutrients
What It Is
Moringa oleifera is native to sub-Himalayan regions of India and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine for over 4,000 years. Every part of the tree — leaves, pods, seeds, roots — contains bioactive compounds. Our Moringa uses only the leaves, dried below 40°C to preserve heat-sensitive enzymes and vitamins.
How It Works
Moringa leaves contain isothiocyanates and quercetin — powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant compounds. Iron in Moringa is bound to protein (non-heme iron), with Vitamin C co-present to dramatically improve absorption. The amino acid profile is nearly complete, making it exceptional for plant-based diets.
Evidence-Graded Benefits
Iron & energy support
Strong — 25× more iron than spinach, with natural Vitamin C for absorption
Anti-inflammatory
Strong — isothiocyanates (MIC, SFN) well-validated in peer review
Blood sugar regulation
Moderate — animal studies strong, human trials emerging
Immune support
Strong — Vitamins A, C, E, and zinc all clinically supported
Our Sourcing
We source exclusively from small-scale farmers in Tamil Nadu's Madurai and Salem districts, where Moringa has been cultivated for generations. Leaves are harvested at peak season (Nov–Feb), shade-dried within 24 hours, and cold-milled. No bleaching, no artificial drying agents.
Key Facts
- 92 nutrients, 46 antioxidants
- 36× Vitamin C of oranges
- 25× Iron of spinach
- 2× Protein of yogurt
Spirulina
(Arthrospira platensis)Earth's Most Protein-Dense Food
What It Is
Spirulina is a cyanobacterium (blue-green algae) that has been consumed by humans since the Aztec civilisation. At 65–70% protein by dry weight with a complete amino acid profile, it surpasses meat, eggs, and legumes. NASA designated it as a high-priority food for long-duration space missions.
How It Works
Spirulina's protein is pre-digested — its soft cell wall means 85–95% digestibility compared to 50–60% for meat. Phycocyanin, its signature blue pigment, is a powerful anti-inflammatory biliprotein that inhibits COX-2 enzymes. Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is an anti-inflammatory omega-6 rare in plant foods.
Evidence-Graded Benefits
Protein and muscle support
Very strong — complete amino acid profile, high digestibility (85–95%)
Detoxification (heavy metals)
Strong — multiple human trials show binding and excretion of arsenic, lead
Cholesterol management
Moderate — randomised trials show reduction in LDL
Exercise performance
Moderate — 2016 RCT showed improved time-to-fatigue and antioxidant status
Our Sourcing
Our Spirulina is cultivated in controlled, shallow freshwater ponds under monitored pH, temperature, and light cycles. This eliminates wild contamination risks. Spray-dried at low temperatures to preserve phycocyanin integrity and maintain protein structure.
Key Facts
- 65–70% complete protein
- All 9 essential amino acids
- GLA (anti-inflammatory omega-6)
- Iron, B12, and phycocyanin
Ashwagandha
(Withania somnifera)Ayurveda's Most-Studied Adaptogen
What It Is
Withania somnifera — 'the strength of a horse' in Sanskrit — is the most researched herb in Ayurvedic medicine, with over 200 clinical studies. Its withanolide content is the primary active compound class responsible for its adaptogenic effects: reducing cortisol, improving stress resilience, and supporting hormonal balance.
How It Works
Withanolides are steroidal lactones that interact with GABA receptors (promoting calm) and modulate the HPA axis (reducing cortisol production). They also exhibit anabolic properties, supporting muscle protein synthesis via IGF-1 signalling. Sominone, a withanolide, promotes nerve regeneration.
Evidence-Graded Benefits
Stress and cortisol reduction
Very strong — multiple double-blind RCTs showing 20–30% cortisol reduction
Strength and muscle mass
Strong — 2015 RCT: 1.5× greater muscle gain vs placebo in resistance training
Sleep quality
Strong — sominone's GABAergic activity; 2019 trial showed improved sleep efficiency
Testosterone support (men)
Moderate — 2019 RCT showed 15% increase, requires replication
Our Sourcing
We source exclusively Ashwagandha root — not leaves or stem — from Rajasthan's Nagaur district, India's highest-quality growing region. Roots are harvested at 180+ days maturity (optimal withanolide concentration), sun-dried, and cold-milled without solvents. We reject any batch testing below 5% withanolides.
Key Facts
- Standardised to ≥5% withanolides
- Root-only (highest potency)
- 200+ clinical studies
- No synthetic additives
