Karunya was born because we couldn't find superfoods we could actually trust. So we built them ourselves — with direct sourcing, independent testing, and a commitment to full transparency.
Why We Started
Like many people, we started paying attention to what we put in our bodies. Moringa seemed like a natural choice — 92 nutrients, 46 antioxidants, backed by thousands of years of use. So we bought some powder online.
But something was off. The texture was wrong. The taste was wrong. We sent it to a lab. The results showed less than 40% of the claimed potency — and traces of a filler that wasn't on the label.
We checked five other brands. Same story, different variations. The Indian supplement market — then worth billions — had a transparency problem. Customers were paying for health and getting deception.
We didn't want to write an angry blog post. We wanted to fix it. That's why Karunya exists.
The Journey
How We Got Here
The Frustration Begins
After years of buying 'pure' superfoods and finding undisclosed fillers, poor sourcing, and zero transparency, we decided enough was enough.
Finding the Farmers
We spent 6 months visiting farms across Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan — testing soil, meeting growers, and building direct relationships. No middlemen.
Building the Standard
We partnered with NABL-accredited labs to establish a testing protocol: every batch gets a Certificate of Analysis before it ever reaches a customer.
Karunya is Born
We launched with three products — Moringa, Spirulina, and Ashwagandha — available on Amazon, Flipkart, and Zepto. A small start with a big standard.
